DocumentationConnect your AI agent with MCP

Connect your AI agent with MCP

Add Contenttosocial to an AI agent that supports MCP, choose what it can access and check that it works.

Your AI agent can work in Contenttosocial from a conversation: find and copy templates, preview your copy, prepare drafts, submit posts for client approval, schedule and publish them, and claim your agency’s profile in the SEO agency ranking and keep it up to date. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that connects an agent to a service. You write no code and paste no API key: you sign in once, on a Contenttosocial page, and choose what your agent can access.

The connector address

Connector address
https://contenttosocial.com/mcp

You can also copy it in Contenttosocial, under Connector URL: open the account menu from your name in the sidebar, then MCP.

For Claude and ChatGPT, follow the step-by-step guide: Connect Claude or Connect ChatGPT. Other agents and tools can use the same address if they can add a remote MCP server with OAuth sign-in. If yours asks for a transport type, choose HTTP (Streamable HTTP), not SSE.

1. Add the connector

In your agent’s connector settings, add a custom MCP connector named Contenttosocial with the address above.

  • If it asks how to sign in, choose OAuth.
  • If it asks how to register, choose automatic registration (dynamic client registration). If it asks for a client ID and secret, leave them empty: your agent registers itself.
  • Leave any API key or request header field empty: none is needed.

2. Sign in and approve

Connecting opens a Contenttosocial page. Sign in there, or create your account. Never type your password in the conversation.

The page, Connect your AI agent to Contenttosocial, then shows:

  • the workspaces you can include, with your role in each. Only workspaces with an active paid plan are listed;
  • what your agent will be able to do. With a plan, in the workspaces you choose: create, edit, schedule, publish and delete posts following your role, and render visuals from your templates. Always, with or without a plan: claim and manage your agency profile in the ranking.

Select Allow access: you then return to your agent. Your password is never shared with it.

In each workspace, your agent acts with your current role: Contributors prepare drafts; Managers, Admins and the Owner can also schedule and publish. Client approval needs the Freelance & Agencies plan. See Workspaces and permissions.

Without a paid plan

You can connect without a plan or a workspace. The page then says You can connect now, with or without a plan. Your agent can still claim your agency’s profile in the ranking and keep it up to date, with the screenshots you upload for it. Posts, templates and the calendar need a workspace with a paid plan: until then, your agent’s requests for them are refused with a link to the plans.

  • If you own a workspace, select Choose a paid plan to include it now. You come back to this page after checkout.
  • Otherwise, connect now. Once you have a workspace with a paid plan, add it with Manage access, without reconnecting. For a workspace you do not own, ask its Owner to activate a paid plan.

3. Check that it works

In a conversation where Contenttosocial is enabled, send this message:

Message to send
List the Contenttosocial workspaces you can use, with my role in each.
Do not create, schedule or publish anything.
  • Your agent lists your workspaces: the connection works. The Manager role may appear as “editor”.
  • Your agent says no workspace with a plan is authorized: the connection works, without a workspace. See Without a paid plan.
  • Your agent cannot find Contenttosocial, or reports a sign-in or connection error: see Troubleshooting.

Change access later

In Contenttosocial, open the account menu from your name in the sidebar, then MCP. Under Your MCP connections:

  • Manage access adds or removes workspaces on a connection, without reconnecting;
  • Disconnect stops the connection in every workspace. Posts already scheduled stay in the calendar.
